The Message (MSG)
13-14 “Staying with it—that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be saved. All during this time, the good news—the Message of the kingdom—will be preached all over the world, a witness staked out in every country. And then the end will come.
As events continue to emerge within my life and around the world I find myself asking this question, how can I pray more effectively? Back in 1993, a group called AD 2000 United Prayer Track came up with an innovative idea. In order to help realize their goal of “a church for every people and the Gospel for every person by Ad 2000,” they established a program called “Praying through the Window.”
The “window” refers to an area on the globe from ten degrees to forty degrees north of the equator, from North Africa and Southern Spain eastward to Japan and the northern Philippians. More than 2.5 billion people live in this area, where the most prominent religions are Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism.
For the entire month of October 1993, and again in 1995, millions of Christians from around the world prayed for people in the 10/40 window. The goal was that new churches might be established and new missionaries sent to these areas. In 1993 alone, the number of churches in Albania grew from fifty to more than three hundred, and the number of Christian fellowship groups formed daily in India rose from an average of three to seventeen.
In praying for people around the world, we are called to remember not only those who already are believers, that they might grow in their faith and be equipped to endure persecution and hardships, but we are called to pray for new believers to enter the kingdom of God. The best way to remember people is in prayer.
Elohim, I come in the name above all names to pray for the lost, sick and fallen away saints and sinners around this world of “YOURS”. Father, “You have said in “Your” word that “You are the Lord who sanctifies us. You are the Lord our God, who has separated us from the peoples. It is my prayer that we will allow the transforming power of “Your” Spirit to make us Holy to “You”, that we should be “Yours.”
We are sanctified by “You”, Father God… sanctified by “Your” Truth. May “You..the God of peace, sanctify us completely; and may our whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that “Your” never sleeping eye will be upon the many at the winter games, those sick and shut in, those suffering from drug addiction or battered relationships. I pray that “Your angels who excel in strength and are mighty, who move to “Your” every word deliver, save and visit every corner of this universe. Lord whatever “You” are doing tonight please don’t do it without us in Jesus name……
